Ask and you shall receive Leeo users!
Water alarm monitoring has been the No. 1 most-requested feature from Leeo users since we launched. We are proud to announce that starting today, with iOS app update 2.0.1. (beta), users can update the Leeo app and have access to the feature for free! The Leeo app will automatically update, or, simply update manually and then Smart Alert will begin listening for continuous tone water alarms. Test your water alarms to ensure they are within hearing range of the Leeo and you're all set! This update also includes a redesign of the app, so we encourage all Smart Alert owners to update and check it out. An Android update is coming soon.
Just as it does for smoke and carbon monoxide, Smart Alert will now notify you if a water alarm sounds, giving you the opportunity to dismiss the alert or call emergency services from wherever you are. If you do not pick up, Smart Alert will call down your pre-set emergency contact list until someone responds.
Why water monitoring? According to U.S. Geological Survey, floods are the most damaging natural disaster in the United States and globally. Water damage is also among the most frequent and most expensive of insurance claims! Water alarms can provide early warning to help avoid or minimize potential damage from leaky roofs, appliances, burst pipes, sewer backup, heavy rainfall, overland flooding, or rapidly melting snow and ice as well as leaks to help minimize the damage. Smart Alert will detect most water or flood alarms with a continuous tone. Here is a list of alarms we have tested and know work well with the Smart Alert:
We agree with you that water monitoring is important and believe it increases Smart Alert’s value and function to keep you, your loved ones and your belonging safe from irreparable damage. Again, there are no monthly fees or hidden charges associated with the addition of water alarm monitoring.
At Leeo, we strive to be the most user-friendly, efficient, effective and valuable smart home alarm monitoring system available. Give our new water monitoring feature a whirl. We hope it brings you added peace of mind. And, let us know if you have any questions, comments or need any help at firstname.lastname@example.org. As always, we love to hear from you!
